Postdoctoral Researcher
Hyeonjin Bak is a postdoctoral researcher in the Social Perception and Communication Lab. She examines how the ways bias is explained and confronted affect perceptions, emotions, and behavior, with a focus on repairing harm and fostering intergroup allyship and solidarity. Her work investigates the role of emotional responses to bias in promoting prosocial action, how targets of prejudice perceive ally confrontations, and strategies to make these confrontations more effective.
