Assistant Professor of Psychology (Starting August 2026)
David Silverman is an incoming assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Yale University. He broadly studies the psychological and material processes that underlie (in)equity with a particular emphasis on how these processes shape the educational experiences of students from lower socioeconomic status backgrounds and students of color. He goes on to apply these insights to develop and test new efforts for supporting schools to more effectively engage with students’ marginalized identities and associated strengths.
