Postdoctoral Researcher
Crystal Shackleford is a postdoctoral researcher in the Social Perception and Communication Lab. Her research focuses on intergroup conflict and cooperation across cultural divides, as well as how inequality and conflict shape decision-making. She explores how communication strategies can foster solidarity and coalition building across lines of difference. Her work employs cross-cultural field studies, experiments, and surveys, extending beyond traditionally sampled populations to contribute to an ecologically valid and contextually grounded understanding of intergroup relations.
